Do you work out with your husband?
No because that hour is my hour for me, it’s my me time.

Do you have music to work out to?

I don’t have music to work out to because I’m usually too busy gossiping. Or saying to my friends, ‘Come on!’.

Do you eat a healthy diet?

I’m super-healthy, but once a week I’ll eat what I want so that’s when I have my dark chocolate or my fish and chips, or a bacon butty. But generally I crave healthy food.

Is it true that you’re training to be a personal trainer?

Yes, I’m taking a course at the moment. I’m not going to train anyone but I want to learn more about it – knowledge is power. I’m really excited about going down that route; it’s going to be very interesting.

Do you think it’s a good idea to have an induction with a personal trainer before you start a new fitness regime?

Definitely. Fitness First have got it right, they open their doors during Fitness Week free for a week so you can walk in and go ‘I want to know about this’, or ‘I want my thighs to be slimmer’, ‘I want to lose this much body fat’, then a personal trainer will give you an overall body workout that’s going to work just for you.

Do you think it’s important to be careful about not over exercising?
That’s why I work out every other day. Although this week I did run six miles yesterday and six miles the day before, which is very extreme for me. Usually I just do an hour that consists of a bit of cardio, maybe some sit ups or light weights for my arms or I do legs, you’ve got to get a balance. Unless you’re an athlete to over train is a little bit obsessive and narcissistic, so you have to have everything within moderation.

Have there been any times when you haven’t felt confident about your body?

During my last pregnancy I put on nearly four and a half stone. I felt confident but I wanted to work out so I got myself back in the gym. Then I did Dancing with the Stars and my weight dropped off, I felt like I had more energy and I felt good. It was ridiculous exercise, but I had fun. I don’t do anything that I don’t enjoy.

You’re the face of Ultimo lingerie, how did you feel about posing for them?
Well, I live in LA where everybody walks around in bikinis because it’s so hot, so it’s no different. Plus I get a load of free underwear, which is great!

You’ve turned down Playboy many times, would you ever consider it?
Not right now, but I feel so flattered to be asked at 34 years old with two kids. Maybe I’ll do it next year or the year after, though they might not ask me again!

Do you think your fitness regime has given you stability in your busy life?
I wish I’d worked out 10 years ago to be honest because it’s a mind healer, it really sorts you out.
